AWO International was founded in 1998. Nowadays AWO International works with local partner

organizations in Asia and Latin America in the field of development cooperation as well as humanitarian aid.  AWO Internationals work is based upon the expertise of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO / workers welfare organization), which is one of the most important welfare organizations in Germany.  Within the AWO currently more than 100 member organizations belong to AWO International.

 

Starting in 2009, AWO International is establishing a bureau in Nepal, which supervises projects in India and Nepal.
