So in 2008 the Kolping Society carried through qualifying measures for 840 recipients of micro-credits in Misiones in cooperation with the Ministry for Social Affairs of Argentina and was charged by the same Ministry to administrate a federal small-credit programme, through which 60 credits were allocated to small entrepreneurs. Seven more people were able to start their own business by the allocation of a small credit through the Kolping Society’s own credit programme.
These programmes in the area of the allocation of small credits were complemented by vocational training programmes and through qualifying measures for young entrepreneurs. All of the measures were aimed at creating new jobs and at bringing people into gainful employment by means of vocational training.
