In 2009, the Kolping Society of Tanzania is among the winners with its project for the improvement of coffee cultivation and the marketing of coffee for five villages.
Within the scope of this project, the participating coffee farmers receive a subsidy for the improvement of the cultivating measures and an increase in quality of the cultivated coffee as well as support in the implementation of further steps in the processing of the reaped coffee beans and with the development of financial systems, in order to sell the coffee at an optimum price and thus stabilize their income situation.
