In 2008 alone, the Kolping Vocational Training Centre in Tacna assisted more than 690 young people in getting a recognized occupational qualification. The same number of people profited from the 19 income-generating projects of the Kolping Society, i.e. the establishment of a fish farm, a rice mill, a tailor’s shop, and various similar projects. The growing successes and results in this specific project work also increased the attractiveness of the Kolping Society Peru. In the meantime, the Association has therefore grown to 80 Kolping Families with more than 1,300 members.
