For the third time since 2007 BORDA asked citizens from Bremen for support of their fund-raising campaign "BORDA hilft! - Schule darf nicht krank machen" (BORDA helps! - School should not make sick). For this concern BORDA invited to a small scale charity gala in the Stadtwaage Bremen on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 .For the musical setting of the event Ady & the Zion Community Choir presented their impressively atmospheric and captivating gospel songs.
By showing pictures of african and asian schools BORDA assistants explained the local disastrous sanitary circumstances and how donations to "BORDA hilft" helped to provide clean toilets and thus more hygiene and safety for schools and children. It furthermore helped to create a learning environment with dignity.
BORDA chairman Joachim Klaembt says that as well as in the years before the donations will at full extend reach the target groups. "No Euro will be used for administrations. BORDA Assistants contribute their know-how and working time gratuitously for projects implementation.
"As there is locally hardly anyone to lobby these institutions we are reliant on donations for projects for schools and orphanages."In order to not only ask for donations Santa Claus gave distributed money transfer forms attached to a little gift at the end of the evening.
