On the occasion of the India trip of Germanys Minister Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul a discussion round on the topic "Perspectives of Development Cooperation in India" took place on the 20th of October 2008 in New Delhi. Romania: Kolping House in Brasov Awarded
On October 10, 2008 the Kolping House in Brasov was awarded the ?Brasov Business Award? for small businesses in the field of services and education. In total 23,000 firms were evaluated in 43 areas and the Kolping Society of Romania is proud that their Kolping House has received this award.

Albania: Kolping Center Opened in Kallmeth
On September 13, 2008 a Kolping House could be opened in Kallmeth in the presence of the Member of Parliament of the local region, Mr. Aldo Bunci, as well as representatives of the national organization. This small center which was built with a large amount of personal contribution is to be a central venue for the meetings of the Kolping Family and an educational center for the whole parish.

Start of "Weltwärts" Programme - The First Volunteer now in India
The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has launched a new volunteer service involving the assignment of 18 to 28 year-olds in developing countries: ?Weltwärts?. The idea behind the volunteer service is the formula of ?learning by serving? and its aims are both to achieve added value for the partner projects and to spark new interest in development issues in Germany.

With 34 representatives from 13 countries the BORDA BNS Partner Network attended the World Water Week 2008 in Stockholm this August.
